Sam is a native of Calhoun County who understands the area that he serves as a developer and licensed general and residential contractor. He has been a proud part of the building industry for decades. Sam has been honored to serve on the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Board and has been an active member of the Home Builder Association leading as president for three terms and receiving the honor as “Builder of the Year” on three occasions with the Calhoun County Association; on the State Home Builder level he has also received “Builder of the Year” for the State of Alabama, and the Presidents Award for his work in membership state wide. He also supports the industry through committee involvements and political awareness and has been involved in many projects and developments that have enhanced growth to the Calhoun County communities that he serves. He takes much pride in his work and considers his customers to be a proven asset to his reputation and realizes the role they play in constructing the family home. Sam appreciates the employees, suppliers and specialists that all work together to accomplish satisfaction in fine workmanship for these families and communities, and considers them a vital part of his success and to this industry.
Sam’s wife Celia, is the broker/owner of the Real Estate Office in Jacksonville, Century 21 Almaroad Properties. The family operated company markets new and existing homes as well as other properties; Sam has encouraged new talent in the building industry, through his developments it enables him to work with many other builders side by side and encourage new blood to the building industry.
Sam and Celia have two daughters Melissa and Crystal, both graduates of Jacksonville State University. Melissa teaches elementary education, her husband, Duff Wagoner is a sales associate at the real estate office and has a teaching/coaching degree as well, they have two children Sam-Parker and Madison. Crystal is an account manager with the American Red Cross, and her husband John-Paul Werner is an account manager with RJ Reynolds, Inc. We are all supporters of Calhoun County and reside in the Jacksonville area as members of the First Baptist Church of Williams.
